I graduated from the Early Childhood Education course in 1987 from Cambrian College in Sudbury
then returned to Kirkland Lake
to work with developmentally handicapped children.
After my son was born
I worked as the Supervisor of a local Daycare for 5 years.
I had a daughter in the meantime
and found that I really wanted to be at home to be with them –
thus I opened Jane’s Place in 1995.
After 5 years of working with children in Kirkland Lake, a move was in order.
Delhi, Ontario then became our new hometown.
After living in Delhi and operating the Daycare for 2 and a half years, the time had come to buy a home.
Simcoe had everything I needed and purchased a home there.
I am blessed with 2 wonderful children.
Matthew is already 26 and Erin who is 24 and they have both grown up too quickly and have left me with an empty nest.
The home I live in is spacious enough for our needs and offers a private entrance for the daycare children
and an open space with cubbies and bins for the children's hat and mitts etc.
The daycare area is very large including a full kitchen which means I never leave the
children to cook lunch. The backyard is fenced completely
and quite large with plenty of room for the riding toys, the climber and a children's cottage.
The daycare is mainly operated in the quiet basement. This gives the children
a room that is safe and friendly for even the youngest of children.
The room is set up for the computer, puzzles, craft supplies, dress up clothes, tools etc and many games I have to offer.
I have little children's chairs and tables so that even the littlest of children can sit for lunch with everyone.
There are plenty of toys that can be interchanged with the ones in storage and I can then house many extra toys for spontaneous play.
So give me a call at (519) 429-2314
to come and see why your child will enjoy their day at
